12-Hydroxystearic Acid: From Properties to Practical Applications

Derived from castor oil, this material is used in the production of lubricants, including various types of greases. 12-HSA is also used in the polymer, rubber, paint and coatings, and other industries. According to Aditim Kazakhstan LLP's website, the product is supplied in white flake form, with a melting point of 73–76°C and a hydroxyl value of at least 155.
